a technology break…

As a stylist and blogger in the hustle and bustle of New York City, I spend a lot of time "looking down" at my work in tech communication. This past Sunday, however, I experienced a refreshing time going on a tech break!

I left my cell phone at my apartment and took a walk in Williamsburg  (a hip area of Brooklyn).  Hands free and heart soaring, I took in the sights and was finally able to look up at the beautiful sky and buildings around me. While looking up, I saw so many different shades of blue (my favorite color) in the buildings and sky! I would have never caught the vision of blue if I was on my cellphone.

My walk took me all the way out to the crisp blue East River. I loved not being distracted by anything except the beautiful scenery around me. This was so inspiring!

When I let go of technology, I saw so much beauty! Who knew I was missing so much?

All the blue I saw while looking up, prompted me to wear one of my favorite blue flowy dresses. The bright blue pop of color made my day all the more brighter.

It's amazing what a little tech-free walk will do!
