Our NYC Wedding Reception...

After my husband Aaron and I were married in an intimate private wedding in Iceland, it was time to celebrate with NYC friends! Today, I'm sharing our awesome NYC wedding reception held in early December. We had such an amazing time and couldn't have done this night without a truly amazing team.

Here's a sneak peak:

Our friends at Drift Studios gave us the perfect venue to celebrate with our NYC friends.  Dear pal and amazing event-stylist, Kelsea Olivia, (plus her sweet friend Bridget & husband James) helped us fulfill our vision of an Icelandic theme reception. She even managed to complete the evening "look" with a doughnut mountain topped with our initials! Everything was absolutely amazing. I couldn't believe how beautiful it all looked when I walked into the studio. Icelandic moss and black rocks decorated the table. A giant A & B from Two Of A Kind blinked neon light throughout the evening. It was perfect!

A photo booth provided by the stylish Mark Chou Photography of The Bowtie Booth encouraged every look from classic to wacky. Talented Photographer Cornelius Martin captured the evening in film photos. My crazy long hair was tamed into a "milkmaid" braid by the imaginative Whitney Martin. The style was perfect with my flowing, unstructured dress! I felt like an Icelandic maiden!

Honestly, it was one of the greatest nights of my life. Aaron and I felt so blessed to have all of our friends with us. It was a night of celebration and joyfulness. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

Next up... We've decided to celebrate our marriage all year... across the country!  Watch for extended honeymoon adventures, a country quaint party in Illinois and a ranch BBQ in Texas :) Here's to more parties!

p.s-  Do you like my reception look ?  You'll never guess! My wedding dress is off the rack from Mango {similar} and my shoes are Ralph Lauren
