some fresh color with Frederic Fekkai...

My hair has been the same story for quite a long time: long, thick and ombre. So I was so thrilled when the sweet folks at Frederic Fekkai decided to give me a new "lighter" look for the summer months. In this case: Blonde highlights! I was in such good hands with Jax {one of the Frederic Fekkai's Soho Salon's fabulous colorists}. Jax did my blonde highlights using the balayage method. Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair color.

It was my first time getting my hair highlighted this way and the process was so interesting. Jax was the artist and my hair was the canvas, essentially. After Jax was done with the color she styled my hair in voluminous waves. She used product from some of Frederic Fekkai's line to make my hair look its best. A few drops of the PrX Reparatives Mending Elixir made my hair manageable + shiny.. The whole experience was so relaxing and the results were stunning.

Federic Fekkai's Soho Salon felt so zen from right when I walked in. I mean, the hair washing stations had message chairs + a flat screen tv that was playing one of my favorite musicals: The King and I.  It all felt so relaxingly perfect! The cherry on top of the cake was getting my makeup done by the team there. It was just lovely and totally my style! I can't wait to go back again to get more blonde {because now I'm kinda addicted}.
