a night out...
When I get the chance to go dancing in the city I don’t normally turn it down. Sometimes the stress of living in New York City can really get me down. Luckily, last week I got a chance to dance while celebrating a truly awesome brand new television from Samsung: The Frame (did I mention there was also delicious cheese and drinks-ohhhh yeahhhh!).
As you probably know, I try to meticulously curate every part of my apartment, but up until now the TV…just never looked good. It’s a bit of an eyesore. My girlfriends and I have discussed the problem of the "ugly television" a lot. Do you prop it up? Put it on a stand? Drill it to your wall?! No matter what, i can never quite get it right. Thankfully, Samsung just solved the age-old problem of the ugly television by creating The Frame (the most beautiful TV you've never seen).
The Frame is basically a beautiful television that blends into your personal design aesthetic perfectly. When I stepped into the event, it looked more like I had entered an art gallery with large format framed photos on the walls. Little did I know that these beauties were the TVs! The Frame was created in collaboration with designer Yves Béhar (who is super talented btw-check out his work). The Frame features Art Mode, which allows users to display a choice of framed artwork and/or photos when the TV is turned off. You can choose between 100 art pieces in 10 different categories – including landscape, architecture, wildlife, action, drawing and more. And you can even upload your own images! With interchangeable frame bezels available (like black or white and light or dark wood), it’s seamless the way they make the TV morph into your atmosphere, no matter what your personal decor style is.
I love how The Frame is designed to not just be a TV but also a piece of art ! It also features an all-new Invisible Connection cable to manage unsightly cords and clutter with a refined, single cord system. How cool is that? I know I have had problems with cords piling up in the past. This is a total win! You can also hook The Frame up with Samsung’s new No Gap Wall-mount, which brings the TV flush against the wall, closer than ever before, to actually make it look like a picture hanging on your wall. The Frame is also a 4K UHD TV with HDR that delivers a superior range of rich color and contrast to display a wider range of light and dark in the same scene, adding detail to every picture.
Needless to say, after getting a look at these babies in person I need one pronto. Just the idea that my television can be visually appealing for once is enough for me. I loved getting to see all the features in person. Plus, I got to eat cheese and have yummy drinks with some dear friends I haven't seen in a long time. The Frame is now on the top of my wishlist.
