"It's like you're always stuck in second gear
When it hasn't been your day, your week, your month
Or even your year, but...."
This song is seemingly becoming what seems to be like my life this year (which is the theme song of Friends-a show I have never really watched, btw. Haha, should I???)
I just am feeling down and crappy a lot lately. I know I should probably be positive and try to find the light at the end of the tunnel and all that crap, but, man, sometimes I really don't feel like it and I wallow. Which gets me nowhere, btw. Or gets me to just listening to Bob Dylan and crying, so, so many tears. Or watching the Harry Potter series just to feel a blatant wave of nostalgia hit me in the face. That "You're a wizard, Harry" line really pulls my heart strings, what can I say??? Haha ,all joking aside, what do you guys do when you are feeling really down in the dumps? I would love to hear what helps you get out of a funk.
I, personally, am going to try to focus more outward. Do more for others. Sign up for more volunteer opportunities this month and next. Because I know a lot of the time my problems don't really mean jack compared to other people in this beautiful world (which sometimes even makes me feel more like crap for feeling this way). Uggggg, but I know I (and we if you are ever feeling down) can get through this. Love you all and always know that if you are ever feeling small or alone I am right there with you. Feel free to write me.
P.S. - Honestly, running in a field of flowers could be just the right medicine. So lets do more of that!
